It's also opened in the morning
Relative bu ... sometimes it can be fast too ...
It's good to find another deck of stalls, from grumbling gx clearly here. You know, just waiting, cb, it's already early, like 4:30 a.m. Must be the first queue ...
It looks like it's still open
Better to come before lunch hour, past lunch hour is not complete - bnyk out.
Right, just go straight to the scene .. The place is small, but delicious ..
I don't think so, because there is a series of galungan ceremonies
We were intended to eat the crispy pork, but it already sold out around 3pm. My advice is to come earlier as possible, because they sold out very fast. The food was delicious! Garlic butter chicken was so tender and heavenly tasty! The chicken with traditional "Sambal Matah" with shallots was also really tasty if you dare to eat the eye bird chili. I will come again any time soon.
Just a regular sambal matah restaurant. Taste-wise, it was good but to me there is nothing surprising. Price ranged at 30-50.
Taste good but not balinese autentic taste
My Favorite Place to eat Babi Sambal Matah!! Best!
Its really good but if you don’t eat spicy , this restaurant is the Should not Go for you. It’s just very small local restaurant, loads of people everyday during lunch time and if you wanna go there should go before 11am otherwise you may not miss the local menu or you have to wait like longer than 30 minutes for your order. Recommend !!!
A fan of spicy food, but I think this place is way overrated. Very little chilli and a lot (I repeat, a lot) of onion. The meat is okay but a bit tough. The rice is pretty decent, though. But I don’t think I’ll make a 2nd visit to this place.
Good but there are hundreds thats as good if you explore Bali. But since i love sambal matah, this one’s good enough
Amazing pork + sambal! A must try!!!
Great and simple sambal matah dish that must be cherished when in Bali
A great taste of localMy favourite dish here is sambal matah with fried pork, it costs around IDR40k (sgd 3.5). Taste of crispy pork with spicy&flavourful sambal matah is one of a kind
One of the best sambal matah pork.. Recommended 👌🏻
Humble tasty dish with reasonable prices. small but busy place
Cheap babi sambal matah, but the taste is standard
Tried their nasi babi goreng sambel matah (fried pork with sambel matah/raw sambal) and kangkung plecing gondo (boiled water spinach with sambal). I find the taste's just ok. Its not bad at all but its not as spectacular as people said.
On last Sunday, it was my First time went there. I try the pork sambal matah and fried chicken sambal matah. The pork is more delicious then the chicken. Crispy with sweetness and savory taste from the meat it self compliment each other with the sambal matah. Sambal matah is a Balinese style chilli sauce. Made from sliced raw shallots and chilli with a vegetable oil. Matah (Balinese local language) means mentah in Bahasa Indonesia. The Sambal not spicy, I still can eat it. FYI, I can't eat spicy foods, my tolerance to spicy foods are low. The Chicken Sambal Matah is just another Indonesian style fried chicken with the sambal. nothing really special.
Went to this place as heart a lot about it on vlogs and the reviews of this place was superb.Went to this place on the very first morning in Bali but was highly disappointed seeing less options in the menu.We could only find 1-2 items which we can eat. Most of the food was local food and we as a foreigner were very left with just a couple of options to have in breakfast. We ordered a meal with rice and some readymade snacks. The drink they served was good. And that was the only good part of our visit to this place.
Food taste ordinary, nothing special. The que is long during weekends.
Delicious pork especially served with their sambal matah. Very recommended.
Yummmmmm and the sambal matah is great!
The portion was big enough for 1 person..the meat was a bit hard to chew..
You have to prepare wait 1 hour more to eat due to the slow efficiency
You have to try their pork sambal matah, soooo good👍
Food 5*, Service 3*, Atmosphere 3*, Price Worthed
Tasty fried pork with shallot chilli condiment. We went at 1230 on a Saturday afternoon and the fried pork was already sold out! Managed to try following day again via Grabfood. Food arrived was tasty and packaged nicely. Portion was generous.
Value for money and goodOrder the signature Sambal Matah Pork Rice. Simple but 😍
Couldnt eat the broth but I liked the pork with rice and onion slices. Kind staff. Melon soda tastes weird but balinese coffee is ok.
Simple ,egg ,rice ,pork that the signature of this resaturant and also cheap
Sambal is goodFried pork is way too hard to chew and bland on the insideQ is too longOverrated :(
Can order the sambal matah without chili!
This is one of the most wanted food in bali, the sambal matah is very good, but the meat a little hard, i hope they can make it more tender..still the taste is great
always packed with ppl but it worthy
Ordered babi crispy with rice and sambal matah, the crispy pork was too tough to chew, sambal is good, its too crowded, order arrives about 1 hour, usually they already sold out at 2pm, I suggest to order early before lunchtimep
For the many times i come, here is still the best
Worth every penny. But make sure you're strong enough to eat spicy food
One of the place for Sambal Matah
This place is ok but don't expect cheap and good. 40k ruphia for babi goreng. Bali in general is expensive like Jakarta compare to other towns in Indonesia. Coming from jogja, I am used to paying 20-40k. But I guess this is the price and value you get from Bali. Never ever buy anything from Bali airport. Load your stomach and bag with food and drink before arriving at Bali airport. Airport charges 14 dollars for a portion of fried rice. If price of things sore up at this rate,,, I will just avoid visiting Bali all together, go to other places like papua
The sambal matah is good, traditional food is good
The sambal matah is worth waiting for. The place is clean.
I think if you like pork, you'll like this place. When I visited, they were renovating, so the place is really, really small. Be careful when ordering their menu items, some are worth it, others are completely dumbfounding in a bad way in terms of its size - it's completely disproportionate to its price. A number of tourists and locals frequent the place. Service was okay, and the cashier speaks good enough English. I think you can also order food from here by Go-Food or GrabFood.
Simple restaurant, the price is worth it, food review : Pork sambal matah : the pork is not to tender have much sambal matah in thereNasi goreng : not to recomend, only the taste of soy sauce
First of all, i need to say that this place is overrated. Ordered via gojek and i had to wait for 1 hour just for a portion of babi goreng sambal matah. The pork was too chewy for my liking. Sambal matah should be called bawang matah, i only got like 5 little pieces of chilli. I wont come back nor recommend it to the others.
I still find the food is outstanding in Bali, even after being here over and over again. The king is the fried pork (and chicken, despite it less tasty), where you can find it moist inside and crisp outside. If you find the meat too dry and hard, means they processed not on their standard (fried too long). The generous additional of fresh matah (the sauted shallot and chilli) is the combination unique to Bali to provide the freshness balancing the meat. The chicken has the same way of processing, moist inside and crispier outside. But it taste lighter. The small place, open aired, small compound only with few chairs, add the nice feeling of having a delightful breakfast in Bali.It could be crowded sometimes as seat is limited.Despite this place is not as touristy and crowded as others, which is a wonder to me regarding the food taste quality.
They have so many Pork Menu, one of the favourite and delicious is Babi Sambal Matah!
We tried babi goreng sambal matah(deep fried pork), kuah balung babi(pork soup), sate lilit and sate babi(pork skewer). Their sate babi surprisingly tasty. Even much better than another nearby place that serve sate babi as their main course.
Amazing local food, my fav place here. They have many options, the spicy things are really really spicy but they also have non spicy options. Is great, i went several times
The fried pork is absolutely delicious, and if you are the sambal matah lover. This is heaven for you because they give a TON of sambal matah and prepared to get strong onion smell inside your mouth several hours after you eat this
The babi sambal matah WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. so delicious I regret I never had this dish before. Price is reasonable, especially with such generous portion of the pork.
If you’re a fan of sambal matah, this is the place to go. But you can choose another sambal (sambal merah) and it taste also good!
The service was super fast! There's plenty of siting if you go out the backdoor. I didn't enjoy the food as the meat was too dry for my taste and onions and chili mix was too spicy.
Gewd sambal matah, quite a nice place
